The Site is provided for general informational purposes and to allow you to estimate your carbon footprint and, where offered, purchase carbon credits. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to:

• Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems, or networks;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or security;
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute Site content except as permitted below.

2. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and design, is owned by or licensed to Sustainology and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the content for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

3. Carbon calculator and estimates

The carbon calculator and any figures it produces are estimates only, provided for general guidance. They are based on standard emission factors and the information you enter, and they may not reflect your exact emissions. They do not constitute professional, financial, or environmental advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

4. Purchases and payments

Where the Site offers the purchase of carbon credits:

• Purchases are processed through third-party payment providers, Stripe and, where offered, PayPal. By making a purchase, you agree to their applicable terms.
• To complete a purchase, you will provide your name, contact details, and payment information. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.
• Prices are shown at the point of purchase. You are responsible for any taxes or charges that may apply.
• Refunds: All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a payment has failed or been charged in error, in which case the affected amount will be refunded or reversed.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

6. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Accessing them is at your own risk.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sustainology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content or purchase made through it. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Sustainology harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any disputes arising from them or your use of the Site shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts of the United Arab Emirates.
